Haystack Monolith is Mark Urban (guitar and voice) and Seth Bennett (double bass).
Their songs draw inspiration from the natural world and everyday experiences—from the overlooked to the fantastical. With influences ranging from Dada to dancehall, they create worlds where the imagination can roam free. Their distinctive approach to performance weaves together structure, improvisation, and audience participation, bringing an exploratory spirit to each show and creating an experience that feels intimate, playful, and celebratory.
